Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Infusion

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology Infusion RN for a fast-paced ambulatory infusion center, requiring an MD or compact RN license and a chemo/bio/immunotherapy provider card.

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ONS/OCC chemotherapy and immunotherapy provider card required (certificate course, not fundamentals course)
• Oncology infusion experience required
• Proficient in peripheral IV insertion and blood draw skills
• Skilled in accessing, maintaining, and de-accessing central lines
• Strong physical assessment skills across a variety of medical conditions
• ACLS certification preferred
• Epic/Beacon EMR experience preferred
• Prior ambulatory care experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Some emergency room experience preferred
• 500+ bed facility experience required for consideration

• Work in the Ambulatory Oncology Infusion Clinic within a comprehensive cancer center
• Provides care to ambulatory oncology patients receiving chemo, biotherapy, and immunotherapy infusions
• Day shift schedule, 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Fast-paced environment requiring continuous patient monitoring and rapid intervention in emergent situations
• Attendance required at Central Nursing Orientation held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
• Continuously monitors patients throughout infusion treatment and intervenes rapidly during emergent situations
• Provides ongoing patient education related to treatment and condition management
• Works within a supportive, patient-focused, relaxed care environment despite a fast-paced clinical setting
