The Quality Inspector is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining internal quality control systems that ensure product safety, compliance with quality principles, and adherence to company standards. This position inspects products, monitors internal processes, and recommends corrective actions to improve procedures, products, and production efficiency. Acting as a quality advocate, the Quality Inspector collaborates with internal teams and external customers to promote continuous improvement and ensure compliance with quality system standards.
EssentialJob Functions
- Ensure processes required to achieve quality standards are established, implemented, and maintained.
- Inspect materials, products, and processes to confirm compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Administer quality assurance and control tests.
- Monitor production activities to ensure alignment with customer requirements and company specifications.
- Document product deficiencies, deviations, and errors, and prepare corrective action reports.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager and management team to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply quality tools, benchmarks, and statistical methods to monitor and improve internal processes.
- Investigate and resolve internal quality issues and customer complaints.
- Ensure compliance, export standards, and company quality policies.
- Serve as a liaison with external auditors, customers, and regulatory representatives on quality-related matters, as needed.
- Promote awareness of quality principles throughout the organization.
The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8‑10 hour shifts, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed based on workload demands.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience Required- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience inspecting products and materials for defects or deviations.
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer‑based reporting tools.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Mathematical proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
- Ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
- Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100.
- Training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or ISO standards.
- Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
- Demonstrated skills in quality management systems and tools.
Must be a U.S. citizen
Physical Requirements- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Travel may be required from time to time.
- Onsite position with office environment and high exposure to manufacturing areas.
- Occasional travel may be required for vendor visits or company needs.
- Flexibility to adapt to peak workloads and tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

The pay range for this role is: 21 - 38 USD per hour (Advance Packaging - Baltimore, MD)
