We are seeking a Sr. Research Data Analyst who will build complex data models and conduct complex data analysis in support of research projects, programs, and/or studies. The Sr. Research Data Analyst is responsible for the coordination of data and data analysis activities across multiple studies. This position is responsible for leading a specific gene‑environment interaction analytic project for our GEARS autism center of excellence.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities- Develop, manage, and database of survey data from multi-site study.
- Develop standard operating procedures for initial data entry and data updates.
- Oversee quality control procedures for database and ongoing analysis.
- Develop data models.
- Conduct statistical analyses of data collected in this system to support empirical study.
- Build transmission models.
- Create and curate software tools across diverse programming languages in support of research efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Derive polygenic risk scores from large extant genome‑wide genotyping datasets.
- Clearly summarize and present findings at team meetings.
- Prepare written reports of statistical analyses, including relevant statistical theory, references, methods, results, and conclusions, to contribute to scientific publications.
- Collaborate with a network of scientists and staff to address research questions involving the analysis of genetic and environmental risk hypotheses.
- Master's Degree in related field.
- One-year of related experience.
- Highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research.
- PhD in a related field.
- Genetic epidemiology or statistical genetics training and experience.
- Experience performing analyses on a high-performance compute cluster, utilizing parallelization and multi-threading, and mastery of the R statistical language.
- Experience in neurodevelopmental outcomes and prenatal exposures.

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University's salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications.
