Part Time Dairy Frozen Clerk

Job Summary

Part‑time position at Harris Teeter. Responsibilities include processing and stocking products according to Dairy/Frozen Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. When assigned, perform duties of frozen food clerk.

Associates must be at least 16 years of age.

Process and stock products based on Dairy/Frozen standards; maintain cleanliness of work areas; provide customer service; unload and reload stock and salvage; perform tasks of frozen food clerk as needed.

Exceptional interpersonal skills; willingness to complete required training; ability to work with a team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

High school diploma, GED, or one to three months of related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English; write simple correspondence in English; effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers and associates who speak only English.

Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement.

Apply common‑sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions; handle problems with few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Complete company training, including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, and product knowledge.

Regularly stand, walk, use hands; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell; occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch. Must lift/move up to 60 pounds; reach 6–72 inches. Requires close vision, color, and depth perception.

Cool environment with an average temperature of 34–36 °F; wet/humid conditions; moving mechanical parts. Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme cold when working in the freezer (‑20 °F). Noise level moderate to loud.

• Pay Transparency:
  Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $15.35/hour and $18.35/hour for this role as a newly hired associate. Pay may depend on previous experience and skill sets of the applicant.
