Traveling Store Display Associate/Merchandiser
We are hiring a Traveling Store Display Associate/Merchandiser to support new store launches, renovations, and special projects across the Baltimore regional area.
OverviewA Store Display Associate assists individually or as part of a team with operations tasks as delegated by the Store Display Lead. Responsibilities include opening new stores, renovating existing stores, completing special projects, and supporting store operations when not on projects. Must travel to all project sites and maintain a safe, collaborative, and adaptable attitude.
PrincipalDuties & Responsibilities
- Participate in renovation, new store, relocation, expansion, and other projects; ensure completion to company standards in a timely manner.
- Merchandising and product placement.
- Unload merchandise, organize stock, transfer items from stockroom to store, build and tear down fixtures.
- Set schematics, zone diagrams, and other merchandise templates.
- Cleaning.
- Customer service.
- Assist with day‑to‑day store activities directed by the Store Display Coordinator/Lead.
- Ensure project tasks are completed timely and in accordance with company standards.
- Communicate with Store Display Coordinator/Lead and other team members as needed.
- Collaborate with store operations and Store Development Management to meet project expectations.
- Partner with other Store Display Associates and Leads as business needs dictate.
- Maintain a safe working environment at job sites.
- Implement new procedures, best practices, tools, and efficiencies for all projects.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must travel up to 100% of the time to specific project locations, including overnight travel.
- Work projects typically run on 14 consecutive day schedules (unless state rest periods apply).
- Must be able to drive and fly.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Must be able to work non‑traditional hours.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to climb, walk and stand for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work with a changing team.
- Ability to work independently in a demanding, fast‑paced environment; adapt quickly.
- Strong project skills for managing multiple complex projects.
- Knowledge of sequencing and merchandising preferred.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions.
- Strong interpersonal skills across all levels.
- Ability to manage personal and company expenses due to travel.
- Must be able to operate small power tools.
- Education: Prefer completion of high school or equivalent.
- Experience: 1–3 years of related work experience, preferably within retail; experience in retail store management preferred.
- Technical: Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); ability to learn new applications.
- Employment type: Full‑time.
