Job Overview
This company provides power and temperature control solutions to businesses and communities worldwide. We are seeking a Business Development Manager for our Data Center Sector - East Coast to ensure customers receive the power, heating, and cooling they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Business development and lead generation within the Data Center sector
- Cold calling, account management, presentation development, and closing deals
- Tracking all sales contacts, meetings, opportunities, proposals, and orders
- Selling equipment rental and services to Data Center customers
- Developing and executing an annual territory sales plan
- Collaborating with operations and logistics teams for project execution
- Understanding power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors
Required Skills and Experience
- 7-10 years of direct B2B sales experience
- Advanced knowledge of the targeted territory
- Advanced knowledge of the Data Center industry
- Proficiency with a CRM (e.g., Salesforce)
- Experience partnering with Ops, Fleet, and Logistics teams
Bachelors degree or relevant experience
Must-Haves
- Full sales cycle experience
- Previous experience as a B2B Sales Professional
- Knowledge of construction and data center builds
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Extensive experience developing new accounts, solution sales in a structured corporate setting
Nice-To-Haves
- Experience in Building and Construction Services
- Knowledge of Power and Rental Generation
- Large quota of booked business
- Solutions selling approach rather than transactional sales
