Key Account Manager

Location: Greater Washington, DC and Virginia markets

Position: Full time, field based

This is a Key Account Manager / Hospital Specialty position focused on driving growth for a novel anti-infective therapy with established formulary access and strong clinical differentiation. The role is hospital-focused, calling on major systems across Greater Washington, DC and Virginia markets

BEC Search has been retained to recruit for this opportunity with a leading pharmaceutical company. The Key Account Manager will build relationships with infectious disease physicians, pharmacists, microbiology teams, and health system leaders to expand product access and appropriate use.

• Develop and execute account plans for major hospitals and health systems.
• Educate clinical and formulary stakeholders on the product’s clinical data and appropriate use.
• Navigate hospital purchasing and formulary processes to expand access within the territory.
• Collaborate with internal medical, market access, and commercial teams.

• Bachelor’s degree and hospital-based pharmaceutical experience required.
• Strong understanding of hospital purchasing, formulary review, and how products are used within health systems.
• Experience in anti-infectives, critical care, or IV therapies strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex clinical information to physicians, pharmacists, and other hospital stakeholders.
• Residence within the assigned territory and willingness to travel extensively.
