Water Management Equipment Technician (WMET)

Summary:

Position Summary:Phigenics is seeking a candidate with a flexible schedule interested in working 10-20 hours per week
. WMETs will report to the Director of Field Services and provide service and account management support for clients in a region. WMETs service existing clients by taking water tests, maintaining equipment, and assisting in maintaining Comprehensive Water Management Programs by analyzing microbiological and water chemistry data and responding quickly, professionally, and accurately to client requests. WMETs may be asked to perform minor maintenance on water monitoring equipment, take on-site readings via testing instruments (i.e., chlorine, temperature, and pH readings), and collect building water samples to be sent to a lab for cultures.
Once fully trained, the employee may be expected to mentor or train peers to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and team development.
Candidates must live near Baltimore, MD, or Washington, DC.
- Take water tests and maintain monitoring equipment.

- Perform minor maintenance on water monitoring equipment.

Conditions:
Position requires traveling to client sites within a 50‑mile radius of Baltimore, MD, or Washington, DC. Mileage reimbursement is available. The role may involve walking around client sites, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Protective equipment may be required.
Skills andQualifications:
- Background in science, engineering, or mathematics preferred.
- Ability to learn how to use equipment that measures pH, temperature, and residual oxidant in water.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Self‑motivated with a “can do” attitude.
- Strong desire to learn new concepts.
- Demonstrated commitment to high ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
- Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced, continually changing business environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Gmail, and various Google applications.
