Security Officer (Broadway) (M-F 2pm-10pm)

The Security Officer I is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of patients, employees, contractors, trainees, vendors, and visitors across all Institute facilities.

• Conduct regular security rounds, monitor building ingress and egress, and respond promptly to disturbances while on duty.
• Check for and verify proper identification; sign‑in/out individuals and provide escort services when required.
• Inspect packages and ensure proper authorization for removal, preventing contraband entry.
• Arm/disarm alarm systems and monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems.
• Assist with investigations, document, and report all suspicious activity and incidents.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; report safety/security issues, property defects, fire hazards, theft, and vandalism to the appropriate authority in a timely fashion.
• Assist with training new/less experienced security officers and contract staff.

Target hourly rate: $17 per hour, increasing to $19 per hour after one year. Annual estimate: USD $32,423.04 – $50,596.42.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• One (1) year of previous security work experience preferred.
