Facilities Locksmith and Maintenance Mechanic

As the team's locksmith and maintenance mechanic, you'll keep every door, lock, and access point secure and working, so patients, families, and staff stay safe and care never stops.

• Own locks, locking systems, door hardware, and closers across the hospital, from installation and testing to diagnosis, repair, and replacement
• Keep access secure by pinning lock tumblers, cutting keys, and maintaining keying systems with locksmith hand and power tools
• Manage and troubleshoot scheduled and unscheduled work orders and preventive maintenance, identifying problems and the materials needed to fix them
• Work from blueprints, layout diagrams, specifications, and work sketches to complete jobs correctly the first time
• Drive accountability by documenting all work in the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Extend your reach by mentoring new employees and supporting senior mechanics on larger jobs

• 3 to 5 years of experience in building or facilities maintenance
• Hands-on locksmith experience preferred, including lock pinning, key cutting, and door hardware repair
• Associate degree preferred
• Locksmith certification preferred
• Experience with master key systems, electronic access control, or fire-rated door hardware preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications
• Experience using a CMMS or work order system
• Skilled with locksmith hand and power tools

Pay Range: $20.72 per hour
