Job Coach, Social Work, Career & Life Skills Coaching

The Holistic Group, Inc. is a full-service mental and behavioral health practice offering outpatient mental health, substance use disorder treatment, psychiatric rehabilitation, supported employment, and benefits advisory services. The organization is dedicated to helping people heal, grow, and live as independently as possible by providing practical skills and compassionate support. Clients receive individualized care through one‑on‑one therapy, group sessions, medication support, and community‑based rehabilitation services.

The Holistic Group focuses on real‑world challenges such as managing daily tasks, building routines, and preparing for work, with programs designed to meet people where they are. Supported Employment services include dedicated job coaching to help clients explore work readiness, secure suitable jobs, and build confidence on the job at a pace that feels right for them.

The Job Coach will provide supported employment services to clients receiving mental and behavioral health care, working on‑site in Baltimore, MD. This contract role involves meeting clients individually, assessing work readiness, and helping them identify appropriate employment opportunities aligned with their strengths and goals. The Job Coach will assist with job search activities, resume development, interview preparation, and coordination with employers to advocate for clients’ needs.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include accompanying clients to workplaces as needed, offering coaching and feedback on job performance, and helping them develop workplace skills and routines that support long‑term success. The Job Coach will collaborate closely with clinical and rehabilitation staff, maintain accurate documentation of services, and ensure that support is delivered in a person‑centered, non‑judgmental manner.

• Candidates should possess strong Job Coaching and Coaching skills, with experience supporting individuals in securing and maintaining employment.
• Candidates should possess excellent Interpersonal Skills and Communication skills to build trust, collaborate with employers, and interact effectively with diverse clients.
• Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills, including the ability to assess work interests, set vocational goals, and develop individualized employment plans.
• Experience working with individuals with mental or behavioral health needs, or in a human services, social work, or vocational rehabilitation setting is beneficial.
• Knowledge of local employment resources and labor market trends in Baltimore, MD is beneficial.
• Ability to work on‑site in community and workplace settings, maintain clear documentation, and uphold confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or a related field is preferred.
