Pay Range: $80/hr - $86/hr
Job Description- The Senior Software Engineer will lead the delivery and maintenance of mission‑critical applications and services supporting city government initiatives.
- This role focuses on .NET and Microsoft technologies to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance applications while providing technical leadership and driving continuous improvement across development processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Recent 8 years of Microsoft .NET and Azure development experience.
- 5 years of application development experience.
- 2 years of experience as an application development lead.
- Experience designing and developing scalable .NET applications.
- Experience in code quality, code reviews, and mentoring developers.
- Experience conducting requirements analysis with cross‑functional teams.
- Experience leading development teams and ensuring best practices.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Experience optimizing application performance.
- Experience developing and maintaining integrations with third‑party systems.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement in development practices.
- Lead design and development of scalable and maintainable .NET applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well‑documented code.
- Conduct code reviews and support junior developers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine technical requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure adherence to development best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex bugs and technical issues.
- Optimize applications for performance and scalability.
- Maintain integrations with external systems and APIs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and improve development processes.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Local government experience is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in C#, , HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, and Blazor.
- Experience with RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS, SSAS, SSIS, RS).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
- Strong experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of SDLC models and application development processes.
- Strong grasp of object‑oriented design patterns.
- Experience with BI reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Proficiency with Microsoft development tools including Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
