Senior Full Stack Developer (Bloomberg Center for Government Excellence and Public Innovation)

Join The Johns Hopkins University as a Senior Full Stack Developer supporting faculty and three centers within the emerging School of Government and Policy. You will collaborate with stakeholders from vision to delivery, providing custom development, scripts, integrations and implementation solutions in a mission‑driven environment that changes cities and lives globally.

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer responsible for the creation, implementation, maintenance, performance, production support and documentation of departmental and enterprise‑wide application systems. Duties include installing and testing applications, applying analysis techniques to translate business requirements into functional/technical specifications and designs, producing deliverables, and maintaining databases and application code.

Responsibilities
  • Lead full lifecycle of medium to large complex projects, using strong technical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Conduct analysis and requirements gathering: define business problems, meet with clients and document findings.
  • Design and develop: create detailed project plans, write specifications, develop data structures, algorithms and output, document code and processes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff in design, development, testing and documentation.
  • Test applications using complex scenarios, validate functionality and author user and technical documentation.
  • Implement changes following change‑management policies, monitor implementations and resolve complex issues promptly.
  • Maintain support and troubleshooting, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the assigned application and its platform.
  • Willingness to travel to the DC office and hybrid work (minimum 3 days per week on‑site).

Salary: $73,300 – $128,300 Annually (commensurate with experience)

Employment Type: Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:30am‑5pm, Exempt, Hybrid / Homewood Campus.

Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid at Homewood Campus).
