Location: Baltimore, MD 21240 (Onsite)
Position: Embedded Software Engineer with Active Secret Clearance
Pay Rate: $83.85/hr – $95.88/hr on W2 (DOE)
Duration: 6 months or longer
Schedule: 9x80 A
Shift: 1st Shift
Possibility for overtime and off-hours support (evenings or weekends).
Onsite support on Aviation Blvd West Building, Linthicum, MD.
An Embedded Software Engineer to support our Software and Digital Technologies department. Fast-paced team, collaborate with systems, firmware, hardware engineers to realize technologies.
Responsibilities- Support the planning, development, and testing of a surface Navy electronic warfare system.
- Communicate project status to the Integration and Test (I&T) IPT Lead.
- Use software development and collaboration tools like VS code, Jenkins, JIRA, Bit Bucket/GIT, Nexus, and Confluence.
- Collaborate with systems engineers to support system level integration testing.
- Implement software changes in C++ to port existing software to new hardware.
- Unit test software changes with system hardware.
- Agile SW process, On-site, Linux, VxWorks, C++, GIT, JIRA, Jenkins, Electronic Warfare.
- Typical day:
Daily Stand Up, work tickets from backlog, test tickets on integration bench, peer review software changes.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Must hold an active SECRET clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of experience.
- Experience with C++ – 5 years.
- Experience working on radio frequency systems.
- Experience with digital signal processing.
- Experience working with real-time embedded systems using VxWorks operating system.
- Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience conducting unit testing with hardware in the loop.
- Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers.
- Prior experience with Electronic Warfare system software development.
- Experience with Electronic Warfare techniques and signal processing.
