Job Description Summary
We are looking for an early career Application Developer to build and maintain applications using Appian and other low‑code platforms. This role focuses on hands‑on development, integration, and delivering high‑quality solutions that meet business requirements. You will work closely with senior developers and global teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery. This role is part of the Center of Excellence (COE).

• Develop specifications for new and existing systems to determine program steps and sequencing.
• Design, code, test, and document components for applications or other technical solutions.
• Coordinate with co‑workers, clients, operations and technical support on systems projects.
• Work independently and set direction on small to medium size projects.
• Help solve problems with systems and programs.
• Interface and initiate discussions with clients to determine requirements, resolve problems and perform testing.
• Support other analysts by performing functions such as coding, testing, job processing, documentation, and scheduling.
• Plan specific activities within a complex IT project.
• Demonstrate a limited knowledge of systems and the overall business.
• May require some supervision and occasional review of work.

• 2‑year computer science or business degree or equivalent work experience (up to 2 years).

• Develop applications using Appian and related technologies.
• Leverage API‑based integrations to bring data from external systems.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL, API integrations, and reporting tools.
• Domain knowledge in Financial Services.
• Appian certifications (Developer level or equivalent).
• Familiarity with JIRA and Agile delivery frameworks.
• Experience with cloud environments and deployment processes.

• Hybrid Office Environment (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays).
• May be required to work outside normal business hours due to special projects or on‑call situations.
• Occasional travel.

The salary for this position generally ranges between $60,000 – $75,000 annually. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law. Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an annual bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan / Individual Performance and is at the Company’s discretion.

This is a hybrid position requiring three days in office per week in one of our hub locations (Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD; Cedar Rapids, IA; Denver, CO). Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
