Description Team Overview

Within one of these Business Units, Alternative Heat deliver turnkey plantroom packages at scale, directly to hyperscale developers throughout Europe, under long-term framework agreements. This Business Unit is scaling at pace, and we have secured a 5-year framework agreement to design, manufacture and deliver volume based, turnkey plantroom modules (mechanical, electrical and BMS) to projects throughout Europe, with demand set to increase annually.

Role Overview

The BMS Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the installation of all BMS/Controls containment, cabling, termination, testing and commissioning of Building Management Systems within our assembly facilities. You will work alongside the Project Manager to supervise the full BMS lifecycle from installation through to post-handover performance, ensuring systems are efficient, fully integrated, and aligned with client and project objectives.

In addition, you will play a key role in maintaining quality standards across all BMS activities — ensuring that works are delivered in line with company quality procedures, project specifications, and industry best practice. You will also be responsible for any non-conformance and working closely with the Quality Manager to ensure corrective actions are documented, tracked, and closed out in a timely manner.

  • Attend and contribute to regular progress meetings to monitor project status, identify risks, and plan upcoming works.
  • Review BMS engineering scope, drawings, and specifications while coordinating installation, testing, and commissioning activities in line with project programmes.
  • Manage subcontractors, labour, and materials to ensure productivity, compliance, and availability.
  • Maintain accurate document control, oversee quality assurance processes, and ensure adherence to HSEQ standards, including RAMS.
  • Coordinate and witness testing (e.g. FAT, SAT), produce progress reports and look-ahead plans, and collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality project delivery, while supporting documentation such as as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
