Gordons Chemists is Northern Ireland’s largest independent pharmacy chain with 55 stores across the region. We are expanding our private professional services offering and need a Health Check Practitioner to conduct Gordons Health Checks across our stores.

• Deliver Gordons Health Checks in a number of stores on a rotational basis.
• Interface with store staff and customers to promote the Health Check service.
• Complete Health Check tests with sensitivity within store consulting facilities, including finger‑prick blood samples.
• Manage pre‑booked and ad‑hoc appointments within pharmacies.
• Engage customers and communicate effectively to promote, upsell and deliver services.
• Possibility of future team‑management responsibilities.
• Accurately record and submit relevant data and communicate clearly with patients.
• Perform other duties as required to facilitate the rollout and development of the service.

• Qualified Nurse or Midwife (practising or non‑practising, no fitness‑to‑practice concerns).
• Other qualified Health Care Professional (Paramedic, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Phlebotomist, Dental Technician/Nurse, etc.).
• Trained Pharmacy Dispensary team members.
• Previous nursing or healthcare experience.
• Vaccinated against Hepatitis B or willing to be vaccinated.
• Hard‑working, enthusiastic, and professional patient‑care oriented.
• Excellent communication and patient‑safety awareness.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic, flexible and a “can‑do” attitude.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of confidentiality requirements.
• Self‑initiative and ability to promote and deliver service offerings.
• Willingness to complete Phlebotomy training or other role‑specific qualifications as required.
• Required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
• UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Flexible to work in all Gordons Chemist branches.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.

• Previous healthcare experience.
• Previous management experience.
• Experience in a similar environment.
• Previous phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
• Experience in a private healthcare setting.

This role requires working throughout all Gordons Chemist branches across Northern Ireland.

Full‑time, permanent: 40 hours per week, Monday‑Saturday 9.00 am to 6.00 pm (consideration for 32‑hour 4‑day weeks).

Competitive salary inclusive of commission based on target sales. Additional benefits include mileage reimbursement, staff discount, pension, 20 days holiday plus 8 statutory days.
