Supply Chain Quality Engineer

Overview

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a rapidly growing fabrication business on the appointment of a Supply Chain Quality Engineer
. Due to a very impressive amount of expansion, this is a newly-created position of vital importance, being a pivot between the procurement and quality teams.

• Ensure supplier compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure all quality activities are rigorously implemented and maintained.
• Monitor supplier performance, response times, and delivery to ensure production continuity and on-time delivery.
• Develop and implement supplier quality documentation and approval programmes.
• Review supplier manufacturing processes and work with suppliers on continuous improvement and value enhancement initiatives.
• Manage supplier corrective action reports and follow through to closure.
• Conduct inspections and testing to ensure product quality and identify defects.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports to communicate quality outcomes and performance.

• Minimum of 3 year's experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or in a relevant quality control role.
• Willingness and ability to travel for supplier visits.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001.
• Experience in quality inspection, auditing, and testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
