The HomeBannview House is a modern, purpose-built Nursing Home supporting up to 80 residents. The Home is designed with individual bedrooms and ensuite facilities, a comfortable lounge and dining areas. Many rooms have fantastic views of the rural countryside. The enclosed gardens and patio area provide residents with a safe and relaxing place to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Bannview House has three dedicated units covering General Nursing, Dementia Nursing, and General Residential.
The RoleThe Kitchen Assistants in our homes play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, ensuring that residents receive high-quality meals and dining experiences. Working as part of the Kitchen team, reporting to the Chef, the role is about more than preparing and serving meals. The Kitchen Assistant ensures the dietary needs of residents are met, contributes to a safe and positive working environment, and supports the overall wellbeing of our residents.
MainResponsibilities
- Ensure that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Deliver meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with the basic preparation of food items under direction.
- Ensure all cleaning within the kitchen, catering, and servery areas is completed and complies with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
- Deliver and maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and statutory regulations.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably required as designated by the Chef or Cook.

Required Criteria- Right to work in the UK
- Good standard of both verbal and written English
- Previous catering, kitchen or food preparation experience
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Previous experience in a care home or healthcare environment
