The Halfway House is a rural, family run business which has been a long standing part of the community for over 100 years. We are very passionate about the hospitality industry and have great plans and ideas for the future of the Halfway. Food is the heart of the business and we are always looking at new dishes, hot favourite and various theme nights to keep things current.

In 2024 we where in the finals of the LCN Restaurant of the year awards Work Pattern The typical work pattern for a chef in the Halfway House is 4 long shifts and 3 days off. We pay 28 days holidays each year Day to Day Duties The 2nd chef is the main support behind our very talented Head Chef and in his absence you will be in charge of the kitchen and the team. As part of the team you will be looking after stock control, daily specials, assisting in the running of functions and larger events and also lending a hand for our theme nights Personal Experience We are looking someone that has several years experience in a similar style of venue that can keep up a steady pace while keeping on top of prep and our 5 star hygiene rating
