HGV Driver Public Sector

We are seeking HGV Drivers with leadership experience to work as Refuse Team Leaders on behalf of a public sector client. This role combines safe vehicle operation with day-to-day supervision of waste collection crews.

• Operate waste collection vehicles safely and efficiently

• Supervise and support refuse collection operatives on daily routes

• Ensure completion of vehicle checks and report defects promptly

• Act as first point of contact for members of the public regarding waste services

• Support resolution of service issues and elevate when required

• Promote recycling and waste education initiatives

• Maintain high standards of conduct, appearance, and customer service

• Valid HGV licence with CPC

• Experience leading or supervising operational teams

• Knowledge of waste collection and recycling services

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
