We are looking for a Senior Programme Buyer to own and lead procurement delivery for assigned OEM Tier-1 programmes/major commodity work streams, ensuring sourcing strategy, supplier readiness and component delivery align with customer, programme and manufacturing requirements.

This role provides structured commercial leadership across the full programme lifecycle, acting as the primary procurement interface between Prodrive, suppliers and OEM customers. You will be responsible for BOM Cost, Supplier Build support readiness status and PPAP timing.

Key Responsibilities 1. Programme Execution, Builds & OEM Gate Support Develop and execute programme-level sourcing strategies aligned to timing, cost, risk and customer expectations, and create and maintain commodity timing plans in line with programme milestones. Lead supplier assessment and selection, including capability, capacity, quality and risk evaluation. Drive sourcing consensus across Prodrive functions (engineering, programme, quality, manufacturing) and with OEM customers.

Manage tooling strategy, commercial agreements and supplier commitments. 2. Own procurement delivery across all programme build phases (e.g. TT, PP, HTFB, pre-series) Ensure parts, tooling and documentation are available to support build events and validation activity. Coordinate supplier readiness for Home Line Try-Out (HLTO) and Hard Tool Functional Builds (HTFB). Support resolution of build issues related to parts, tooling or supplier readiness and ensure PSW & associated deliverables are completed and submitted in line with programme and OEM timing requirements.

3. Commercial Control, Risk & Lifecycle Ownership Maintain programme-level purchasing data including price, lead time, tooling, MOQ and supplier commitments. Manage commercial change, cost tracking and invoice accuracy across the programme lifecycle. Anticipate and mitigate supply, capacity or commercial risks before they impact build or customer milestones. Track components through the full lifecycle from sourcing through build, validation and programme close-out.

Who are we looking for? Our ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial purchasing within automotive, Tier-1 or OEM-facing environments, and proven experience owning procurement delivery across multiple programme phases and build events. You will be familiar with OEM programme gates, sourcing processes and supplier readiness requirements, and have experience managing tooling, supplier nomination and programme commercial agreements. You will also be confident operating within ERP and programme reporting environments.
