Join an ambitious, forward‑thinking financial planning firm where your expertise will directly shape the quality of advice delivered to clients. As our Paraplanner, you’ll be the analytical engine behind our advisers—helping craft tailored, compliant, high‑quality financial plans.
The Opportunity
As a Paraplanner, you’ll prepare detailed suitability reports, conduct product and investment research, and ensure every recommendation is accurate, compliant, and client‑centric. You will be a key quality controller in the advice process and should feel confident challenging advisers where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with IFAs to understand client objectives and build tailored financial strategies.
• Conduct research on pensions, investments, protection products, and tax planning.
• Prepare detailed cashflow forecasts for client meetings.
• Draft comprehensive and compliant suitability reports.
• Liaise with product providers for valuations, illustrations, and technical data.
• Ensure client documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.
• Assist in preparing agendas, documentation, and follow‑up actions for meetings.
• Maintain audit trails and support compliance requirements.
• Stay up to date with legislation, market developments, and new products.
• Support marketing efforts and broader business development.
• Champion safe and productive use of technology, including AI.
• Provide general administrative support.
Critical Skills Required
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience with Intelligent Office, Fintegrate, Defaqto.
• Strong telephone manner and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
• Flexible and proactive approach.
• Strong decision‑making and initiative.
Critical Knowledge Required
• Strong business understanding.
• In‑depth knowledge of financial planning and financial services
