GeneralSummary:
This role reports to the R&D Team Leader or their designee when in factory based in Banbury, UK and Chief Mechanic when traveling with the race team. The role supports the delivery and contribution of departmental and organisational objectives. Responsible for supporting day‑to‑day operations within their area of responsibility, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance.

Role‑Specific Responsibilities
- Responsible for component testing for performance, reliability and proof testing including all aspects of non‑destructive testing of the team’s race car and pit equipment.
- Assist the service and test process in a methodical manner whilst adhering to strict deadlines.
- Collaborate and work cohesively with R&D Lead Team Leader, reporting any issues and finding solutions in a timely manner.
- Perform non‑destructive tests following processes for on car and off car components.
- Inspection of in‑service car parts during turn around.
- Follow test procedures for service and proof testing of on car and off car components.
- Operate R&D test equipment, loggers and sensors.
- Operate load frame test equipment and procedures.
- Document and publish reports on test results and fault finding.
- Work with the R&D Team Leader to implement research and development tests as required.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and condition of your work department and all tools and equipment.
- Follow engineering procedures and protocols as dictated by Engineering Department.
- Carry out day‑to‑day tasks efficiently and within agreed timescales.
- Ensure work meets expected service, quality, and compliance standards.
- Demonstrate accountability and professionalism in all activities.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
