Due to expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Local Business Development Manager to join us at Vertu Peugeot Banbury in this newly created role!
As a Business Development Manager you will use your prospecting, relationship and networking skills to promote the brand to the local business community and beyond.
We are offering a basic salary with an OTE of £40,000 plus excellent company benefits including a company car.
ResponsibilitiesWithin this role you will be responsible for growing and developing the Corporate and Local Business database and selling cars to this community. You will be selling Contract Hire and Leasing packages as well as outright purchase transactions to the business community. You will be developing relationships and selling vehicles to new prospects and maintaining existing business customers by renewing their existing vehicles with the brand.
You will also consistently achieve budgeted new car and commercial vehicle volumes and Franchise related targets through prospecting and presenting our products & services to local businesses as well as helping grow the aftersales business through the volume of corporate cars sold in each area. You will consistently achieve the Fleet Departments Monthly New Car Sales registration targets and Brand Key Performance Indicators.
You must have a proven track record of generating new business leads and maintaining customer relationships. Experience in the motor trade would be ideal but it is not essential. You will need unlimited confidence, resilience, drive, energy and talent. You will have the ability to quickly establish and build rapport. You will also possess a full, clean UK driving licence. You will be based out of our Peugeot Banbury dealership;
however, there will be an expectation for you to be out and about in the local area building business relationships.
If your application is successful, we will need to complete the usual employment checks prior to you starting with us. These can include verifying your recent employment, address and credit history. We may also conduct a criminal record check and a driving licence check.
