HGV Class 1 Drivers – Days / Work Through to Christmas / Up to £29.33 per Hour Banbury / Immediate starts / Monday to Friday Looking for steady driving work and strong earnings right through to Christmas? Pertemps are recruiting Class 1 Drivers for an ongoing assignment in Banbury, starting ASAP and running through to 24 December 2026. With regular weekday shifts, daytime work and peak pay rates rising to £22.00 per hour from 1 st November, this is a great opportunity to get settled into consistent work in the run up to Christmas.

Pay rates Now until 31 October: £17.67 per hour for the first 50 hours per week £22.97 per hour for overtime above 50 hours per week Peak rates: 1 November–24 December: £22.00 per hour for the first 50 hours per week £29.33 per hour for overtime above 50 hours per week Paid weekly, with holiday pay and a pension scheme.

Hours of work Monday to Friday Start times between 04:00 and 07:00 Average shifts of 10 hours Day shifts throughout the assignment Work planned through to Christmas Eve The role You'll deliver stock to stores nationwide, working with a modern fleet and a supportive transport team. Typically 4–5 deliveries per shift Palletised deliveries using a tail-lift Some unloading of light stock at delivery points What you'll need A valid HGV Class 1 / LGV 1 / Category CE licence At least 180 days of UK Class 1 driving experience within the last two years Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card No more than 6 penalty points, with no DR or IN endorsements Good knowledge of drivers' hours and driving regulations Ready to get started?
