Barker Ross are currently recruiting for a Stock Controller to join a busy logistics operation based in Banbury, OX16.

TEMP TO PERM OPPORTUNITY FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE

This is a great opportunity for someone with warehouse or stock experience who is looking for a long term position with the opportunity to develop additional MHE skills.

The role will involve a mixture of stock control, administration and working within the warehouse to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.

Shift Pattern and pay:

4 on 4 off

  • 06:00 to 18:00
Pay Rate
  • £13.44 to £13.74 per hour
What Will You Be Doing?
  • Checking physical stock against the warehouse system
  • Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies
  • Processing stock queries and system transactions
  • Producing and updating stock reports
  • Investigating missing, incoming and outstanding pallets
  • Completing empty location checks
  • Processing returns and stock related documentation
  • Carrying out physical stock checks within the warehouse
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and transactions
  • Recording and escalating stock issues where required
  • Supporting other departments with stock related queries
  • Completing general stock administration and paperwork
MHE Training and Development

You do not need to already hold all MHE licences for this position.

Successful candidates will be trained and upskilled on PPT, followed by the opportunity to progress onto Reach Truck and VNA training.

This makes the position a great opportunity for someone looking to develop both their stock control and MHE experience.

Interview and Induction Process

Successful candidates will initially attend an interview for the Stock Controller position.

If successful at interview, you will then complete the site induction before starting the role.

As part of the induction process, candidates will be required to complete:

  • Drug and alcohol test
  • Site induction and safety training
  • Required site assessments and training
What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who is accurate, organised and confident working with both warehouse systems and physical stock.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous stock control or warehouse experience
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidence using computers and Microsoft Office
  • Good Excel skills
  • Ability to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritise your workload
  • A proactive approach to solving problems
  • Willingness to undertake PPT, Reach Truck and VNA training

The role requires someone who is comfortable working both with systems and out on the warehouse floor rather than being purely office based.
