The Agronomyst for Lampung & South Sumatera will focus on driving sales and demand creation for Jiva Agriculture’s agriinput products. This role requires expertise in agronomy, managing demo plots, and executing sales strategies to increase product adoption among farmers in the region. The position involves direct farmer engagement, building distribution channels, and converting demand creation activities into sales.
Key Responsibilities- Regional Sales & Demand Creation
- Implement sales strategies to drive the adoption of Jiva’s agriinput products (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, etc.) across Lampung & South Sumatera
- Develop and execute demand creation activities, including product demonstrations, field days, and farmer meetings to generate leads and close sales.
- Build and maintain relationships with key farmers, agricultural cooperatives, and distribution partners to expand Jiva’s market reach.
- Demo Plot Setup & Sales Conversion
- Plan and manage demo plots in key locations to showcase the benefits of Jiva's products in real farming conditions.
- Leverage demo plots to generate farmer interest, convert leads into sales, and achieve regional sales targets.
- Collect performance data from demo plots, provide feedback to farmers, and use results to drive product sales.
- Farmer Engagement & Support
- Conduct one-on-one farmer visits, group discussions, and training sessions to promote the benefits and correct usage of Jiva’s agriinput products.
- Provide agronomic advice and recommend Jiva’s solutions to optimize crop yields and address farmer pain points.
- Actively gather feedback from farmers to improve sales approaches and product positioning.
- Education
:
Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field. - Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in agronomy roles in the agricultural inputs industry.
- Proven track record in managing demand creation activities, preferably in Lampung & South Sumatera
- Skills
- Strong sales acumen with a deep understanding of crop management and agricultural inputs.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust with farmers and partners.
- Proficiency in sales data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and travel frequently across the region.
- Language
:
Proficiency in English is a must. - Travel Requirement
:
Must be willing to travel extensively within Lampung & South Sumatera to meet with farmers and distributors.
