Tax Supervisor

About the role

PT Kartika Sari Indonesia is seeking a Tax Supervisor to join our growing Accounting and Taxation team. This is a full‑time position based in Bandung, West Java
. As Tax Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our organisation maintains full compliance with Indonesian tax legislation whilst optimising our tax position. You will supervise tax operations, lead a team of tax professionals, and provide strategic tax guidance to senior management. This role is integral to our financial operations and directly contributes to the company's fiscal health and regulatory compliance.

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the tax department, including the preparation and filing of corporate income tax returns, VAT returns, and other statutory tax submissions
• Review and verify tax calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current Indonesian tax regulations and applicable legislation
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and audit firms to resolve tax matters and ensure effective communication during tax audits and inspections
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations, advising management on the implications for the business and recommending proactive compliance strategies
• Prepare and present tax reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting tax risks, opportunities and recommendations
• Manage tax disputes and correspondence with tax authorities, representing the company's interests and ensuring timely resolution
• Support the implementation and maintenance of tax compliance systems and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
• Conduct tax planning reviews to identify opportunities for legitimate tax optimisation and cost reduction

• A minimum of 5–7 years' professional experience in taxation, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or senior tax role
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax law, including corporate income tax, value added tax (VAT), personal income tax and payroll tax regulations
• Proven experience in tax compliance, tax planning and tax audit management
• Professional qualification relevant to taxation (such as a degree in accounting or taxation, or equivalent professional certification)
• Excellent understanding of tax accounting principles and familiarity with financial accounting standards
• Proficiency in tax accounting software and Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel)
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Indonesian and English
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Professional integrity and commitment to ethical business practices
• Preferred: experience with e‑billing systems and tax authority online platforms
• Preferred: exposure to multinational tax compliance and transfer pricing matters
