• As part of Next Level footprint strategy and supply network optimization, Barry Callebaut has approved the build of a new Greenfield Chocolate Manufacturing site in West Java, Indonesia. The West Java GF End to End Program Leader will be responsible for the overall execution of the project: cost, schedule, safety, technical/supply chain readiness, permitting, operational readiness and others. He will guide both the engineering team and the operational start-up team, developing and managing with global/cluster/local management teams the new organizations, technical/operational capabilities, deployment of BCOS work processes, interface with external agencies/authorities, and reporting/tracking with key stakeholders including senior leadership.
• The critical delivery of the role is the creation of a high-performance, fully capable greenfield site that achieves Vertical Start Up (VSU) status and drives continuous improvement eliminating losses across the value chain, in line with corporate strategies, targets and objectives.

• The role aims to create a high-performance, fully capable greenfield site that achieves Vertical Start Up (VSU) status and drives continuous improvement across the entire value chain, aligned with corporate strategies, targets and objectives.

• Extensive experience in major project/program execution at blue-chip companies and experience with initiative/project start-ups applying TPM Early Management methodologies including CQV/IQ/OQPQ.
• Provide guidance on setting up and driving a project team (Engineering & Operational) with the end goal of delivering VSU and other critical KPIs, to enable a smooth start-up of the West Java greenfield site, covering Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People and Environment KPIs.
• Typical deliverables for the West Java greenfield start-ups include:
  • Zero LTA and compliance with process safety/people safety standards
  • Zero quality defects and Cpk > 1
  • Ramp-up to OEE +85%
  • Adherence to schedule
  • Adherence to Capex and Start-up budgets (no overruns)
  • People engagement survey +90%
  • Compliance with energy/CO2 reduction targets
  • Compliance with BC and local environmental requirements
• Scope:
  Overall management and delivery of the West Java greenfield project; guide the engineering and operational start-up teams; interface with internal and external stakeholders; report and track progress; organize and lead regular steering team meetings including senior leadership.
• Be a member and contributor to Global Mfg/Eng Community, part of APAC team, and help set directions to be deployed as part of the role.

• Bachelor/Master degree required, preferably in Engineering
• Advanced level of English
• Clear ability to understand business needs and deploy a strategy to reach business goals
• Extensive experience in major greenfield/brownfield development, execution and start-up
• In-depth expertise in Continuous Improvement methodologies (TPS, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, High Performance Organization)
• Ability to work with ambiguity, breakthrough thinking, accountability, and directing others
• Experience in TPM implementation, including Initiative Management (IM) Pillar
• Senior operations experience (Site Engineer, Plant Management) is a differential
