As a Sustainability Officer, you will lead the implementation of sustainability initiatives in Indonesia, with a focus on climate resilience and the circular economy. You will drive on-the-ground programme execution, cultivate multi-stakeholder partnerships across public, private, and community sectors, and identify strategic opportunities that advance SL2’s sustainability roadmap. This role integrates programme delivery, stakeholder engagement, policy awareness, and applied research to translate sustainability strategies into measurable environmental and social impact.

In addition, you will support capacity-building efforts by delivering green-skilling and sustainability-focused training programmes for corporate and community audiences.

Lead the end-to-end implementation of sustainability projects and initiatives in Indonesia.

Design and execute strategic interventions related to climate adaptation and resilience (e.g., urban cooling, heat risk mitigation) and circular economy initiatives (e.g., waste reduction, e-waste management, resource efficiency).

Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government agencies, industry stakeholders, NGOs, and community organisations.

Monitor sustainability trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to inform programme strategy.

Identify and pursue strategic collaboration, funding, and grant opportunities at national, regional, and international levels.

Ensure effective project governance, delivery, monitoring, and reporting in alignment with SL2’s sustainability objectives.

Develop and deliver green-skilling and sustainability-related training programmes to enhance organisational and community capacity.

Contribute to knowledge management, impact documentation, and cross-regional learning within SL2’s network.

Excellent written and verbal communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Having education background in Environmental Science/Engineering, Urban Planning, Sustainability Management, or related fields.

1-2 years of relevant experience in sustainability, environmental management, or climate-related program implementation.

Strong understanding of climate resilience, circular economy, and sustainability policies in the Indonesian context.

Demonstrated ability to manage projects and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Strong skills in problem-solving, collaboration, analysis, communication, and organization.
