Overview

As a Senior Visual Merchandiser, you will be responsible for developing and implementing visual merchandising strategies, standards, and retail experiences that bring Torch’s brand to life across all store locations.

This role combines creativity and commercial thinking, requiring you to create VM guidelines, store layouts, planograms, and seasonal concepts while ensuring consistent execution, optimizing customer journey, and driving business performance through data‑driven insights and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies, seasonal concepts, and display standards that align with Torch's brand identity and commercial objectives.
  • Create store layouts, product zoning, planograms, and display guidelines to ensure a consistent and engaging customer experience across all store locations.
  • Design and execute window displays, focal points, and visual storytelling areas that effectively showcase products and campaigns.
  • Monitor VM execution across stores through regular audits, store visits, and feedback sessions to ensure compliance with brand standards.
  • Collaborate with Retail, Merchandising, Marketing, and Product teams to support campaign launches, new collections, and commercial initiatives.
  • Analyze sales performance, product sell‑through, customer behavior, and store insights to evaluate the effectiveness of VM initiatives and recommend improvements.
  • Train, coach, and guide store teams on VM standards, display execution, and best practices to ensure consistent implementation.
  • Stay updated on retail, fashion, and consumer trends while continuously identifying opportunities to elevate Torch's retail experience.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Visual Merchandising within the fashion, lifestyle, sportswear, or accessories industry.
  • Experience handling visual merchandising across multiple store locations or regions.
  • Experience developing VM guidelines, planograms, visual standards, and seasonal VM concepts from ideation to execution.
  • Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles, retail space planning, customer journey, traffic flow, and product presentation strategies.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch Up, Figma, or other relevant design and visualization tools.
  • Strong creativity with the ability to translate brand identity and campaign objectives into impactful retail experiences.
  • Comfortable using sales data, customer insights, and business performance metrics to support VM decisions and measure effectiveness.
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Able to work independently, take ownership, and drive VM initiatives as the primary Visual Merchandising function within the organization.
