Finance Officer

£42,707 to £46,895 | Permanent | 35 hours

Morgan Hunt is recruiting a Finance Officer for a community-focused housing association in the Stirling area.

This is a broad, responsible position within a small Finance and Corporate Services team. You will help protect the organisation's financial viability while providing clear financial information to colleagues, senior leaders and the Board.

• Home working on Mondays and Fridays
• Office attendance Tuesday to Thursday
• Flexible start and finish times
• Up to seven hours of flexitime within each four-week cycle
• EVH Grade 7 salary of £42,707 to £46,895

Appointment above the first salary point may be considered depending on relevant experience and qualifications.

• Maintain accurate financial ledgers, rent accounting, purchase ledger controls and month-end reconciliations.
• Support cash-flow forecasting, annual budgets, management accounts, statutory accounts and external audit.
• Oversee payroll administration, PAYE, pensions, HMRC payments, factoring invoices and tenant recharges.
• Supervise the Finance & Corporate Services Adviser and improve financial procedures, reporting and systems.

You should be able to demonstrate:

• Success within a varied finance role
• Experience using financial systems and advanced Excel
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• Experience working to deadlines within a regulated environment
• Preparation of reports for senior leaders, Boards or committees
• The ability to supervise, support or develop another employee
• A minimum HND in Accounting or an equivalent qualification supported by significant relevant experience

• Social housing, charity or public-sector finance
• Rent accounting, factoring or tenant recharges
• SDM or another housing-management system
• Budget monitoring, cash-flow forecasting and audit supportCCAB qualification or progress towards qualification

Housing experience is desirable but not essential. Candidates with strong transferable experience from another regulated or purpose-led environment are encouraged to apply.
