Staff Accountant

Responsibilities
Coordinate monthly consolidation process, including coordinating with local accountants of our international subsidiaries to ensure timely and accurate reporting, managing eliminations and foreign currency revaluation.
Review and upload reporting packages received from local accountants at the international subsidiaries, reconcile inter-company balances and investment in subsidiary activity, and perform analytical review of international subsidiaries.
Responsible for month-end close procedures for certain of our subsidiaries, including preparation of monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis of results.
Maintain in Oracle monthly and daily foreign currency rates, consolidated chart of accounts and Oracle Financial Statement reports.
Coordinate statutory audits, and other required reporting, of international subsidiaries. Review statutory financial statements and reconcile to US GAAP.
Provide support for technical accounting, especially related to lease accounting in accordance with ASC 420 and upcoming ASU 2016-02.
Assist in the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and other deliverables as needed.
Contribute to the preparation of required quarterly GAAP financial reports.
Preparation and maintenance of stock accounting schedules and reconciliations.
Prepare relevant schedules for quarterly reviews and annual audits; work closely with external auditors.
Support accounting team’s commitment to timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions in accordance with US GAAP and the Company’s internal controls.
Proactively identify issues and implement process improvements to streamline accounting processes.
Help establish and maintain policies and procedures and internal controls.
Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
3 - 5+ years progressive accounting experience, preferably a minimum of 2 years in public accounting and a minimum of 1 year in general, international or consolidation accounting. Big 4 experience preferred.
CPA, CPA eligible or working towards a CPA (strongly preferred).
In-depth knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) with advanced Excel skills

Experience with Oracle is a plus.
Must have the ability to execute multiple tasks, be detail oriented, committed to high quality and have the ability to adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across the organization.
Proactive, assertive, and creative approach to problem solving.
Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
