Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Articled Assistant role based in Bengaluru. The Articled Assistant will support audit and assurance engagements, including vouching, ledger scrutiny, documentation, and assisting in preparing working papers and reports. The role involves working on direct and indirect tax assignments, such as return preparation, basic tax computations, support for assessments, and compliance tracking. The Articled Assistant will assist with bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements, and corporate law-related filings and documentation.
Daily responsibilities also include conducting basic research on accounting, taxation, and regulatory matters, preparing drafts of client communications, coordinating with clients for data collection, and maintaining organized work papers and records under the guidance of seniors and partners.
Qualifications
Should be registered or eligible to register as an Articled Assistant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Sound understanding of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and journal entries.
Interest in audit and assurance, including willingness to learn fieldwork procedures, documentation, and reporting.
Basic knowledge or strong interest in direct and indirect taxation and related compliances.
Comfortable with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to work with accounting or ERP software.
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with team members and clients.
Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a structured, process-driven environment.
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and willingness to take responsibility and learn from feedback.
Bachelor’s degree in commerce (B.Com) or pursuing a related course is preferred.
