● A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule ( other than licentiate qualifications ) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).

● Post-Graduate degree in the concerned speciality or super-speciality mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI from recognized Teaching Institute i.e. Doctor of Medicine or Master of Surgery or Diplomate National Board or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto

● Super Specialities (DM/M.Ch./DrNB) :
On Completion of DM/MCh/ DrNB in the concerned subject

Eligibility Parameters:

● Age:
Not exceeding 45 years

● Basic Course in Biomedical Research (BC ) Certification - Should have completed the Basic course in Biomedical Research from Institutions designated by NMC.

● RBMET Training Certificate - Should have completed the basic course in Medical Education Technology from Institutions designated by NMC.

Eligibility criteria is subject to amendments as per NMC guidelines - “Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, (Amendment), 2023 as per National Medical Commission notification No. C-19011/06/2022/NMC/Coord in reference to notification numbered NMC/MCI-23(I)/2021-MED.

Job Content:

- A urologist is a medical doctor specialising in conditions that affect the urinary system (urinary

tract - bladder, kidneys, ureters, urethra, etc which keeps the body clean by filtering out wastes and toxins and taking them out of the body ) in men, women and children, and diseases that affect the

reproductive system, also the adrenal glands. These conditions range from peeing too much or

too little to being unable to father a child.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Primary responsibilities include clinical activities. This Clinical faculty position will take part in

inpatient settings as well as providing patient care in a professional practice setting ( wherever

applicable ). Specialist medical practitioners (medical doctor) diagnose, treat and prevent illness, disease, injury and other physical and mental impairments in humans, using specialised testing and diagnostic, medical, surgical, physical and psychiatric techniques through application of principles and procedures of modern medicine.

They specialise in certain disease categories, types of patient or methods of treatment and may conduct medical education and research in their chosen areas of specialisation.

Main Job Tasks:

● Clinical Responsibilities

[ Urologist diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of genitourinary organs and tract. Examines patients, using x-ray machine, fluoroscope, and other equipment to aid in determining nature and extent of disorder or injury. Treats patients, using diathermy machine, catheter, cystoscope, radium emanation tube, and similar equipment. Performs surgery, as indicated. Prescribes and administers urinary antiseptics to combat infection. ] - { NCO 2015 - Urologist -  }

○ Examine, diagnose within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.

○ He/she shall (wherever applicable) : be responsible for proper maintenance of the case and filing system in the department. supervise the hospital work being carried out by the residents and other junior faculty members in the department.

○ The evolution of Urology as a modern specialty.

○ Diagnosing and treating diseases and disorders of genitourinary organs and tract, also connected tissues.

○ Treat patients' disorders related to the reproductive organs, urinary tracts, bladders and kidneys

○ conducting physical examinations of patients and interviewing them and their families to determine their health status;

○ Examining patients, using X-ray machines, fluoroscopes and other equipment to determine nature and extent of disorder or injury.
