Prescribe and manage medical therapies, spectacles and optical referrals; provide clear patient counseling on treatment plans and follow-ups.
Perform basic ocular procedures in OPD (foreign-body removal, minor lid procedures, bandage contact lens placement) and assist in minor laser procedures if trained.
Coordinate diagnostic workflows—order and interpret B-scan, visual fields and routine investigations; liaise with optometry and diagnostic teams for timely patient care.
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in EMR and ensure compliance with infection control and clinical governance protocols.
Participate in outreach screening camps, patient education initiatives and occasional weekend clinics as required.

Active medical registration with the relevant State Medical Council.
Strong clinical skills in slit-lamp exam, refraction, tonometry and fundoscopy suitable for high-volume OPD.
Comfortable performing basic minor ocular procedures under supervision.
Professional communication and patient-counseling skills; ability to work full-time on-site.
Preferred
Exposure to YAG/argon laser procedures or basic surgical assistance experience.
Familiarity with EMR systems and basic diagnostic interpretation (B-scan, visual fields).
Proficiency in Kannada and English to communicate effectively with local patients.
