Industry & Sector:  Healthcare — Outpatient clinical services focused on women's health and gynaecology in an urban Bengaluru clinic setting. This is a patient-facing OPD consultant role based in Koramangala, Bangalore, structured on a shared morning and evening consultant basis.

Position:  Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist (MBBS) — OPD (Koramangala, Bangalore) — On-site, morning & evening sharing

Role & Responsibilities

Run scheduled morning and evening gynaecology OPD sessions on a shared consultant basis, ensuring timely patient consultations and high-quality clinical care.
Perform comprehensive antenatal and postnatal consultations including risk assessment, routine follow-up, and referral when necessary.
Conduct gynaecological examinations, minor procedures (e.g., D&C, polypectomy as applicable) and outpatient procedures such as IUCD insertion and Pap smear collection.
Interpret outpatient obstetric/gynaecologic ultrasounds (TVS/abdominal) or coordinate timely imaging referrals and communicate findings to patients.
Document clinical encounters accurately, maintain medical records, and prescribe evidence-based treatment plans; ensure smooth patient flow and handover between shifts.
Provide patient counselling on family planning, contraception, antenatal care plans, and follow-up instructions while maintaining confidentiality and professional bedside manner.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

MBBS degree with valid medical registration (state medical council).
Proven experience in outpatient gynaecology/antenatal clinics with competency in routine exams and minor outpatient procedures.
Clinical competency in antenatal and postnatal management and basic obstetric emergency recognition.
Ability to perform IUCD insertion and Pap smear collection accurately.
Availability for on-site morning and evening OPD shifts on a shared consultant rota in Koramangala, Bangalore.
Strong documentation skills and familiarity with clinic record-keeping; patient-centred counselling skills.

Preferred

Postgraduate qualification or diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (DGO/MD) or equivalent.
Experience in private clinic OPD workflow and patient management in an urban setting.
Training/certification in colposcopy, gynaecologic ultrasound, or BLS/ACLS.
