About The Atelier

The Atelier is an alternate education, progressive, and child-centred school. We commit to supporting the whole child, and developing intrinsically motivated and self driven learners through inquiry and project based learning.

We take inspiration from the Reggio Emilia Approach to education. We believe that art and science are complementary disciplines and children can learn science through art and vice versa. We strive to open children’s eyes to this harmony between the various elements of the world – art, science and nature.

Most importantly, we work within a culture embedded in the values of care, respect and trust. At The Atelier, children grow and learn in a safe, non-judgemental environment where each child’s uniqueness is respected and celebrated.
