Head of Pre-Primary (Product Owner – Pre-Nursery to K2)

Location:

Bangalore (with frequent travel to branches)

Reports to:

Chief Academic Officer (CAO)
Grades Covered:  Pre-Nursery, Nursery, K1, K2

Role Summary
We are looking for a mission-driven leader to own the Pre-Primary program across 90+ Orchids International Schools. This is a  product manager role —you are responsible for delivering an outstanding early childhood learning experience. From academic delivery to infra upgrades, parent delight to dropout prevention, this role balances strategic thinking with daily operational problem-solving. You will work cross-functionally and in close partnership with  Coordinators and Principals  to ensure ground-level implementation excellence and responsive change.

Key Responsibilities
Academic Implementation
Drive consistent implementation of early years curriculum with developmentally appropriate practices.
Ensure structured teacher training and observation; work with content, training teams to improve outcomes.
Partner closely with  pre-primary coordinators and principals  to identify classroom-level challenges and co-create solutions.

Infrastructure & Environment
Champion “great classroom” experiences; lead activity room upgrades, play material rollouts, and infra SOP adherence.
Work with coordinators, principals, Zonal heads to regularly assess classroom environments and close gaps collaboratively.

Admissions & Marketing Support
Support branches in strengthening storytelling, displays, and early years narratives during marketing events and parent interactions.
Co-design marketing formats and early engagement interactions with marketing teams, branch leaders.

Dropouts & Retention
Use coordinator and principal feedback to identify reasons for early exits or parental dissatisfaction.
Build personalized retention interventions—class events, parent connects, public showcases.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with central teams across curriculum, arts, language, counselling, and parent engagement.
Work  directly with branch coordinators and principals  to drive school-level change and ensure last-mile delivery.

Success Metrics
% of infra audits closed on time
Parent satisfaction (feedback and orientation scores)
Dropout % reduction in Pre-Primary
Teacher implementation quality and engagement
Admissions conversion in PP grades

Ideal Candidate Profile
Skills
Deep ECE expertise, stakeholder empathy, and strong classroom intuition.
Ground-level operations insight and the ability to co-own outcomes with coordinators and principals
Excellent influencing skills and diplomatic leadership
Experience
8–15 years in early childhood education, ideally across multiple branches
Experience working closely with school leaders to drive implementation
