About the Role We are looking for a driven and experienced Study Abroad Counsellor who can independently manage the complete student lifecycle, from the first enquiry call to successful visa stamping. You will be the go-to expert for 12th-grade and bachelor's graduates exploring higher education opportunities overseas.
This isn't just a back-office processing role. You will be the face of What Next, counselling students and parents, building institutional partnerships, driving lead generation through school and college outreach, and ensuring every application is handled with precision and care.
What You'll Do
- Student Counselling & Profile Evaluation:
Conduct one-on-one consultations with prospective students (12th pass and graduates), assess academic profiles, and recommend suitable countries, universities, and courses aligned with their career goals and budget.
- End-to-End Admission Processing:
Manage the full application cycle, university shortlisting, SOP/LOR guidance, document compilation, application submission, offer letter follow-up, and enrollment confirmation.
- Visa Processing & Documentation:
Handle student visa applications, including document verification, financial documentation review, visa interview preparation, and post-visa support for Europe and Australia.
- Institutional Outreach & Lead Generation:
Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, coaching centers, and educational institutions to generate a steady pipeline of prospective students. Represent What Next at education fairs, seminars, and webinars.
- University & Partner Relations:
Coordinate with partner universities, colleges, and education boards abroad. Stay updated on intake dates, admission requirements, scholarship deadlines, and changes to immigration policy.
- CRM & Pipeline Management:
Maintain accurate records of student interactions, application statuses, and conversion metrics using CRM tools. Provide regular reports on pipeline health and targets.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance:
Ensure all applications and processes comply with institutional guidelines, immigration regulations, and internal quality standards.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in any discipline
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in the overseas education/study abroad industry (mandatory)
- Proven expertise in Europe and/or Australia processing, admissions, documentation, and student visa applications
- Strong understanding of international admission cycles, IELTS/PTE/TOEFL requirements, SOP writing, and scholarship processes
- Experience in student counselling, profile evaluation, and parent interaction
- Demonstrated ability in B2B outreach, connecting with schools, colleges, and institutional partners for lead generation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional regional language is a plus)
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and CRM software
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple student files simultaneously
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced consultancy environment

- Experience with destinations beyond Europe and Australia (UK, Canada, USA, New Zealand)
- Knowledge of education loan processing and financial documentation
- Familiarity with platforms like Study Portals, or university agent portals
- Prior experience in conducting education seminars, webinars, or representing at education fairs
