Founded in 2010, Ekya Schools is a chain of progressive K-12 schools in Bangalore, India, offering Kindergarten & Montessori and Grades 1-12 affiliated to CBSE, ICSE and Cambridge IGCSE. With our in-house curriculum, students experience a rich learning journey designed to challenge, engage, and excite. As part of our commitment to reimagining education, Ekya Schools launched the Purpose-Based Schools in AY 2025–26, a new chain of K–12 institutions centered on thematic learning. These thematic schools enable students to develop expertise in specific areas of interest from an early age.

The first of these, Ekya Nava, is a School of Innovation, Creativity, and Design that empowers the next generation of thinkers, innovators, scientists, product leaders, changemakers, and technopreneurs. At Nava, students are encouraged to pursue their passions and develop expertise from an early age through future-forward, hands-on experiential programs. By harnessing technology and design thinking, Nava helps students learn differently, present their learning in new ways, and build a mindset that enables them to make connections across disciplines and apply their knowledge to real-world challenges.

Role

Purpose:

The Head of School will be instrumental in shaping Nava’s culture, systems, and standards of excellence during its formative years, ensuring that the school’s early momentum translates into lasting impact. This role calls for a visionary leader with the strategic insight and operational expertise to scale a new school responsibly while building its reputation for progressive, purpose-driven education.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Curriculum Leadership:
Lead the implementation and ongoing refinement of the Ekya Nava curriculum based on our innovative framework. Ensure curriculum design reflects the latest educational research, caters to diverse learning styles, and prepares students for future challenges.
- Educational Excellence:
Provide strategic direction and instructional leadership to promote high academic standards and effective teaching practices across all grade levels.
- Teacher Development:
Recruit, mentor, and support a talented team of educators. Foster a professional growth and collaboration culture to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.
- Student Engagement and Support:
Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that supports every student's academic, social, and emotional development. Implement strategies to promote student engagement, well-being, and success.
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strong partnerships with parents, community organisations, and educational stakeholders to foster a supportive and enriching school community. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Ekya Nava’s academic goals and values.
- Operational Management:
Oversee day-to-day school operations, including budget management, facilities maintenance, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensure efficient use of resources to support educational goals and enhance the overall school experience.
- Continuous Improvement:
Lead ongoing evaluation and improvement initiatives to enhance curriculum effectiveness, teaching quality, and overall school performance. Stay abreast of educational trends and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement at Ekya Nava.
