Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Computer Science Teacher to educate students from Grades 5 to 10 in foundational computing, programming, and robotics. The ideal candidate will inspire students to think logically, solve problems creatively, and develop digital and technical skills relevant to the modern world.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Instruction
Plan and deliver engaging computer science lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
Teach Foundational Topics Such As
Basic computer operations
Coding (Scratch, Python, or similar)
Digital literacy and online safety
Introduction to algorithms and problem-solving
Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning levels (Grades 5–10).
Robotics & Practical Learning
Introduce students to robotics concepts and hands-on learning.
Conduct practical sessions using robotics kits (e.g., LEGO, Arduino, or similar).
Guide students in building, programming, and testing simple robots.
Encourage participation in robotics projects, exhibitions, and competitions.
Curriculum Development
Develop lesson plans, worksheets, and project-based learning modules.
Integrate STEM-based activities into classroom teaching.
Continuously update curriculum to reflect current technology trends.
Student Assessment & Development
Evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
Provide constructive feedback and individualized support.
Encourage creativity, teamwork, and innovation.
Classroom & Lab Management
Maintain computer lab equipment and ensure proper usage.
Enforce safety and discipline in the lab environment.
Coordinate with school leadership for lab upgrades and resources.
Co-curricular Activities
Organize coding clubs, robotics clubs, and tech events.
Mentor students for competitions and school exhibitions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
B.Ed. or teaching certification preferred.
Certification or training in robotics (preferred but not mandatory).
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of programming (Scratch, Python, etc.)
Basic understanding of robotics and electronics
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Creativity and passion for teaching children
Ability to simplify complex concepts for young learners
Experience
1–3 years of teaching experience preferred (freshers with strong skills can apply).
Experience in handling school-level robotics programs is an advantage.
