About the Role:

Refining Skills Academy is seeking a  dynamic, academically strong, and inspiring HOD for Science  to lead our middle and high school science curriculum. The ideal candidate will bring together  academic excellence ,  pedagogical innovation , and  team mentorship , ensuring that every child develops scientific curiosity and mastery.

Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership:
Oversee and refine the  science curriculum  for Grades 410 (CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE)
Ensure alignment of lesson plans with learning outcomes, board requirements, and future-ready skills
Review lesson delivery quality across  Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
Team Management:
Mentor and manage the science educator team (36 teachers)
Conduct weekly reviews, classroom observations, and teacher training
Drive innovation in teaching practices and promote cross-disciplinary integration
Student Outcomes:
Set clear academic benchmarks and regularly track student performance
Plan  remediation and enrichment programs  for learners at different levels
Drive preparation for  school and board examinations
Operational:
Coordinate science lab usage and ensure safety and engagement
Collaborate with parents on academic concerns and progress
Support admissions, events, and student showcases from the science department

Required Qualifications:

Masters degree (M.Sc.) in any core science subject (Physics, Chemistry, Biology
Strong curriculum design and team management skills
Excellent communication and planning abilities
Passionate about science education, inquiry, and innovation
