Summary:

The Special Educator assesses students' learning needs, develops individualized education plans (IEPs), and provides specialized instruction to support students with diverse learning requirements in inclusive or special education settings.

Key Responsibilities
Assess students' academic, behavioral, and developmental needs.
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Adapt curriculum, teaching methods, and learning materials to meet individual needs.
Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, therapists, and school administrators.
Support students in developing social, communication, and life skills.
Manage classroom behavior using positive intervention strategies.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and educational planning.
Ensure compliance with special education policies and regulations.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation, Psychology, or a related field.
Certification or diploma in Special Education (requirements vary by country and employer).
Knowledge of learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, and other special needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
