About Taika Play Studio
Taika Play Studio is a play-based early years space being built from the ground up, focused on supporting growth and learning through thoughtfully designed environments, meaningful play experiences, and partnership with parents.
We’re currently in startup mode — which means systems, routines, and culture are actively being shaped. This is a space for people who enjoy building, thinking deeply about their work, and contributing beyond a fixed job description.
Founded by a parent and certified early years educator, Taika is intentionally building a small, committed team that brings on-ground experience, curiosity, and a shared sense of ownership.
This is not a finished institution — it’s a space that will grow through collaboration and shared responsibility.
If you’re excited by early childhood and building something meaningful from the ground up, you’ll feel at home here.
Role description
This is a full-time, on-site role at Taika Play Studio.
We’re looking for an experienced early years educator to join us as part of the founding team — someone excited to co-create curriculum and learning experiences, work closely with children and parents, and help shape how a new early years space comes to life.
This is not a ready-made system. It’s an opportunity to build thoughtfully from the ground up, starting with parent–toddler programs and growing over time.
Location:
Bangalore, Karnataka
Key Responsibilities
Co-create and facilitate play-based learning experiences for children aged ~9 months to 4 years, starting with parent–toddler programs
Plan and adapt curriculum and experiences based on observation of children’s interests and developmental needs
Work directly with children on a daily basis, supporting exploration, movement, and engagement through play
Design and maintain calm, intentional learning environments using thoughtfully selected materials
Collaborate closely with parents, sharing observations and insights in a respectful, accessible way
Work closely with the founder and early team to help shape programs, practices, and studio culture
What We’re Looking For / Qualifications
~2+ years of experience in a preschool or early years setting
Exposure to play-based, child-led, or inquiry-driven approaches to early learning
(Montessori / Reggio Emilia / Waldorf experience is a plus, not a requirement)
Strong observation skills and comfort responding to children thoughtfully
Willingness to work in an evolving, startup environment
Comfort taking ownership and contributing beyond a fixed role
Ability to work full-time and on-site
If you’re excited by early childhood and building something meaningful from the ground up, you’ll feel at home here.
