About the Role

A newly established University specializing in Defence, Advanced Technology, and Emerging Sciences is seeking an experienced Senior Academic Coordinator to lead the development, governance, and implementation of innovative academic programs. This strategic leadership role offers a unique opportunity to help build a future-ready institution and shape education aligned with national priorities, industry needs, and global academic standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design, development, and periodic review of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in emerging technology and defence-related disciplines.
- Coordinate with the Board of Studies, Academic Council, and other statutory bodies to ensure timely approvals and effective academic governance.
- Develop and implement academic policies, regulations, and procedures in alignment with UGC, AICTE, and other regulatory requirements.
- Support faculty recruitment, onboarding, workload planning, and academic organization structure.
- Drive the adoption of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), quality assurance processes, and accreditation frameworks.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary, industry-integrated, and research-driven curriculum development.
- Benchmark academic programs against leading national and international institutions to ensure relevance and excellence.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen academic quality, innovation, and institutional growth.

Candidate Profile

- Ph.D. in Engineering, Technology, Defence Studies, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in higher education, including significant exposure to curriculum development, academic administration, and leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of UGC, AICTE, NAAC, NBA, and other relevant regulatory and accreditation frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in academic planning, governance, policy formulation, and quality assurance.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
