Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Vice Principal role based at RNSIT Institute of Technology in Bengaluru. The Vice Principal will support the Principal in academic and administrative leadership, including planning and implementing academic calendars, timetables, and institutional policies. The role involves supervising teaching–learning processes, monitoring curriculum delivery, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards. The Vice Principal will guide department heads and faculty, coordinate examinations and evaluations, and oversee student discipline, welfare, and counseling mechanisms.
The position also includes engaging with stakeholders, strengthening industry and academic collaborations, supporting faculty development, and contributing to strategic initiatives that enhance institutional performance and reputation.
Qualifications
- Strong academic background with a postgraduate degree (preferably PhD) in Engineering or a related technical discipline from a recognized institution.
- Significant teaching and academic leadership experience in higher education, preferably in an engineering or technology institute.
- Proven experience in academic administration, including curriculum implementation, examination coordination, and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation frameworks (such as AICTE, NBA, NAAC, and university norms) and experience in compliance and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor faculty, manage teams, and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and student-centric environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, faculty, and external stakeholders.
- Experience in promoting research, innovation, industry partnerships, and co-curricular or extracurricular initiatives will be an advantage.
- Proficiency in academic planning, data-driven decision-making, and use of educational technology or campus management systems.
- High standards of professional integrity, ethical conduct, and commitment to institutional values and continuous improvement.
