Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Admission Officer role based in Bengaluru North. The Admission Officer will engage with prospective learners via phone, email, and in-person interactions to explain program offerings, admission criteria, and application processes. The role involves guiding applicants through the entire admission cycle, from initial inquiry to enrollment, including document verification, application follow-up, and coordination with internal academic and operations teams.
The Admission Officer will maintain accurate records in the admissions system, track application status, and generate reports on enrollment metrics. The role also includes supporting outreach activities, participating in information sessions or events, and providing feedback to improve admissions processes and learner experience.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively counsel prospective learners, address queries, and build trust with diverse applicant profiles.
Customer service and relationship management skills to handle high volumes of inquiries, follow up consistently, and deliver a supportive admissions experience.
Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple applications simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet enrollment timelines and targets.
Basic data management and computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets, CRM or admissions systems, and email and video communication tools.
Sales or counseling aptitude, with the ability to understand learner needs, recommend suitable programs, and support informed decision-making.
Attention to detail and process orientation for accurate document verification, eligibility checks, and compliance with institutional policies.
Ability to collaborate with academic, marketing, and operations teams and adapt in a fast-paced, target-driven higher education environment.
Bachelor's degree in any discipline; experience in admissions, counseling, student services, or education sales is preferred.
Comfort working on-site in Bengaluru North and flexibility to support extended hours or weekends during peak admission periods, as needed.
