Role Description  The Business & Economics Teacher (IGCSE) is a full-time, on-site role based at The Shishya Jigyasa Academy in Bengaluru North. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging IGCSE Business and Economics lessons, aligning with the curriculum and the school's learner-centered philosophy. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing lesson plans and assessments, facilitating interactive classroom discussions, guiding learners through independent and collaborative projects, and monitoring academic progress.

The role involves providing regular feedback to learners, maintaining accurate records, collaborating with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives, and communicating with families as needed. The teacher is also expected to participate in school events, professional development activities, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications
Strong subject knowledge and teaching ability in Business Economics and Economics, with experience in the IGCSE curriculum preferred.
Competence in lesson planning and curriculum design, with the ability to create structured, inquiry-based learning experiences.
Demonstrated skills in teaching and education, including classroom management, differentiation, and learner-centered instructional strategies.
Relevant academic background such as a bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Education, or a related field; formal teacher training or certification is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support diverse learners and collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
